Hello,

a bit about me:

Dana Roberson is a television news veteran and current Executive Producer at The WNET Group, home to PBS stations Thirteen, WLIW, NJPBS and WLIW-FM. She previously worked at PBS NewsHour Weekend with Hari Sreenivasan, supervising the strategic vision and editorial production of the broadcast every weekend. She also produced the PBS documentary "Preserving Democracy, Pursuing a More Perfect Union" which aired January 6, 2022. 

 

Prior to her current work, she produced at New York Public Radio for The Takeaway, a daily one-hour news broadcast airing nationally. She worked on segments with topics ranging from politics and prison reform to books, movies and music.

She has worked at CBS News on acclaimed programs such as CBS 60 Minutes and Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt, 
covering stories nationally and internationally from the war in Afghanistan to the earthquake in Haiti and the economic collapse in Ireland. 

 

Her investigative reporting earned her a Peabody Award for her breaking coverage of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal in Iraq. 


She also worked with legendary newsman Dan Rather at CBS 60 Minutes II and on his investigative team at AXS-TV looking into deadly pill mills, dangerous consumer gas cans and voter suppression in Georgia. 


Dana is a graduate of the University of Iowa and received her MS from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.  She also is an adjunct at Fordham University and CUNY's Graduate School of Journalism teaching the next generation of journalists.   ​​
